Malaysian Aviation Training Academy (MATA) is an accredited world-class training centre established to support the development and growth of the aerospace industry in Malaysia and the Asia Pacific with particular focus on aircraft maintenance engineering which is in line with Malaysian Aerospace Industry Blueprint 2030.

The year 2016 is the state of maturity for MATA where all of our existing facilities have been fully optimized to its capacity. MATA has established our own On-Job-Training (OJT), AMEC, in Senai, Johor. This is a major milestone not only to us but also for the industry as this part of MATA’s solution to the limited number of OJT placement in the aviation industry. In completing MATA’s deliverables, we have been approved to conduct DCAM Exams for our students.

With a dedicated and committed workforce from the marketing to the training team, we grew from humble beginnings to become the biggest Part66 syllabus training institution in the country with almost 1,000 trainees. MATA has been rated as one of the best vocational training institutions in Malaysia for an overall educational experience on top of producing Champions of Aircraft Maintenance students in the country.

As naturally expected, MATA is now more noticeable and recognized by the public as a respectable academic centre for aviation. Recently, demands to join our academy have increased by leaps and bounds. Thanks to the government for its continuous effort to reposition technical and vocational education at a higher esteem.

Based on the aviation demand, not only by the nation but the region, MATA will evidently develop and conduct more products that are related to aviation, but not restricted to just aircraft maintenance. MATA has slowly spread its wings as we have signed MOU with ASEAN Co-operative Organization (ACO) in October 2017, to capture and access the ASEAN Market. All these are with the intention of MATA being the region’s ‘Hub of Aviation Training’

As icing on the cake, two of our students received GOLD Medals at the recent World Skills ASEAN competition held in Malaysia and one of them will represent the country in Abu Dhabi, Emirates for the World Skills 2017.

With well-qualified and devoted staff, we offer high quality learning experiences, services and facilities. Our students will earn global recognised qualifications, which will put them in a better position in securing jobs.
